Summer Preparation - Lilacoco Review

Sponsored by Lilacoco.

If you're living in Germany, just like me, you're probably wondering what kind of summer I'm talking about. Yes, we have March right now, so it's not supposed to be hot outside yet but seriously, it's not supposed to be that cold right now either. Let's hope this upcoming summer will be a-m-a-z-i-n-g and hot af because I've got plenty of clothes I finally want to wear.

And thanks to Lilacoco, I got some more this week. Let me show you what I ordered and if I can recommend those two pieces (Spoiler: Yes, I can):

1. Dark Blue Cherry Dress

I haven't been sure whether to get this dress or not because:
1. It's dark blue and dark blue is a color I'm barely ever wearing.
2. The cherry print is cute and I like clothes that have some past-time-rockabilly-vibes to them.

My love for past-time-rockabilly-vibes was stronger though and I ordered it. And guess what, I don't regret a single thing. Here's why: It's a wrap dress, so there is no way it can be too tight around your hips for example. Moreover, there is enough space under my arms. It's extremly important for me that clothes aren't too tight around my armpits since it doesn't look good and it doesn't feel comfortable too. But no problem here. Got my dress in size S by the way and it's perfectly fine.

The only thing I don't feel so good about yet is the length. I don't have any dresses ending shortly below my knees, so I'm not sure what to think about it at the moment. Maybe it's just something to get used to? Probably. If I can't get used to it, I'll have it shortened. That's no big deal really and it shouldn't prevent you from buying the dress since it's still really lovely.

You can get it for $25 in sizes XS, S and M. Go check it out!

2. Queen of Hearts Crop Top

I was looking forward to this one so much but, as it turns out, I'm a huge idiot. This realization isn't related to this nice crop top at all but instead to my incapability to learn from previous online orders.

So what have I done wrong? Basically, I ordered it in "the wrong size". Not exactly wrong though because I usually wear tops in size S. What did I do? I ordered it in size XS/S. A huge mistake, as it turns out, since it's way too tight for me, especially around my armpits. If I had ordered it in size M, everything would have been fine. So here is my recommendation for all of you: Always order shirts like this one in a bigger size! If stuff is overzised, it still looks way better than when it's too small. Don't make the same mistake I did.

If it was the right size, this shirt would be amazing! I love the fact that the queen of hearts is an embroidery instead of a simple print. Moreover, the shirt is very elastic, so even if it's still a little too small, you'll be able to wear it (unless it's way too small, haha...).

I generally like crop tops. They look amazing combined with high waisted skirts or pants. Can't wait to wear those again in summer. If you still need one yourself, I can definitely recommend you this wonderful queen of hearts cotton top which is available in black and white in sizes S and M. Price is $22.90.
And remember: Oversized is always the better choice!

Hope I could give you some summer clothes inspirations! <3
